According to the Large Hadron Collider’s wiki page, the first attempt to fling particles around the loop is September 10 this year. The first proper test smashing of particles will be after it’s officially unveiled on October 21st 2008.
I love the speculation and hype surrounding the LHC and it’s ability to make black holes. As if it’ll make one on the first try.
Egg on my face if we all get smooshed into a singularity in the blink of an eye.
Very much anticipating the new album, should be a corker.
To tide you over til the album’s October 11th release date the single ‘Watch me Disappear‘ is available for free download. Grab it from the AugieMarch.com, or from somewhere in the depths of the TripleJ website.
A video raising awareness about cerebellar hypoplasia (in cats).
I don’t know why anyone would put a kitten that had those characteristics down, just think of how entertaining that’s gonna be as it gets older.
We bought some more wine today, and when I visited their website (Banrock Station dot com) we found an interactive water survey, which we thought was quite cool. It should be noted that we buy wine based on design only. We’re not very good wine connoisseurs.
How to Draw Anything in One Step.
(No images for this one, couldn’t find one which would work well out of context.)

I got a shiny new wallet from tinymeat!
My old wallet (with ‘wallet’ written on it), is on it’s last legs, so I upgraded to one with a racoon and a scooter on it:

Egads! It’s over! 17 Olympic themed LEGO photos in 17 days. I don’t want to see another LEGO piece of bit of Olympic coverage for a while, but I do like the gallery of creative LEGO photos I’ve ended up with as a result.
And for those too lazy to click that link…. scroll!!

Jarod finally took me to a restaurant for dinner (and by accident, too), which was delightful. But I was shocked and appalled to see that they proudly sold cuttlefish. Dead cuttlefish. How mean!

So, instead, I ate a dead cow instead. Which is okay because it clearly isn’t as smart as a cubblefish. I’ve never seen a cow purposefully blend in with it’s surroundings before. Or mesmerise it’s prey with a cool strobey effect on it’s face. So there, cows. You deserve to get eaten.
Things are probably way broken right now cause I’m implementing a slight revision to the look and a major revision to the backend code of jarodandliz.com. Normal services will resume shortly when I stop eating chocolate and start fine tuning everything.
edit: okay, semi normal services have resumed. and clearly i’m too drunk to be making sense of random html and php

… build a seriously cool house on them.

Undeterred by the steep hills in Northern Portugal, this architecturally designed house was built embracing them, and literally winds its way down the slope.
Oh, good.

It’s been a whole year since I coerced Jarod into travelling all the way from Bankstown to Glebe to visit a night of Mic in Hand goodness (where, at the time I was a door bitch). It wasn’t actually the first time we’d met, although neither of us can remember noticing each other at the one Flickr meet we did attend together, so it’s just as good.

The poor boy now lives with me and the psycho kitty Train, and has to write alongside me in this blog. I think I got a better deal: my rent is now cut in half and I get cuddles every morning.
Next month is the ‘proper’ anniversary, but it’s likely I’ll forget, so this is close enough, right?
And it’s here!~
Here’s to another couple getting together due to Flickr. SPB will always be the best breeding ground for couples though.
