Comedy Store to reopen?

Speaking of Comedy…

First, we went to the first and last gala for the Parramatta Comedy Store. (The photos of which, by the way, have finally made their way on to the internet. We sat on them for ages as we didn’t know the fate of the venues and well, we were lazy. But, go to Photos in the top left and have a look. Now!).

Then, we went to the last show at the Moore Park Comedy Store. (The comments on that entry are kinda amusing).

And now there are rumours that Star 100 Entertainment might be taking it over? Or, at least, they’re holding a one night only gala at the venue…

In welcome news in a world filled with heralds of doom and gloom, Star 100 Entertainment is showcasing its awesome homegrown stable of hilarious acts in a one night only spectacular sure to give you a comedy fix like no other.

What is most interesting however is that the showcase is being staged at the iconic Comedy Store at the Entertainment Quarter in Moore Park. As many Sydney comedy fans will know, the iconic Store reluctantly shut its doors a couple of months ago.

Rumours of its reopening have persisted and Star 100′s showcase (which features Cracker favourites including: the Axis of Awesome (just back from Edinburgh with rave reviews), Steve Philp, (award winning) Amelia J Hunter, Chris Radburn, Paresh Khandha, Sally Kimpton and Brett Nichols and local comedy icons Jackie Loeb and special guest MC Lady Julia Morris) may be pointing to something more permanent (nudge, nudge, wink, wink).

Watch this space….

From the Cracker Comedy website.

The Star 100 website is advertising it as a ‘One Night Only’ show, on the 11th October.

Interesting…
