Yellow Bartape for the Casseroll

So after switching back to drop bars on the Salsa a few months ago, I’ve been enjoying the various different hand positions that can be used. Something I hadn’t been taking any pleasure in was the standard bar tape that came with the bike; it was paper thin and as cushioning as a slab of granite.
So in the same CRC order as Whitey’s New Boots, I grabbed an impulsive 10 Australian dollars worth of Easton Road Bar Tape in yellow. When it arrived in the post, I took a fleeting look at it and then promptly discarded it to ogle the wheel set that arrived in the same order.
The Fling and enjoying Whitey’s new gears were a good enough distraction from riding the Casseroll and as such the bar tape only got installed over the weekend. I sat myself down during the 35° heat and let my OCD nature go to work. The time was obviously well spent, as they’re by far the best set of bars I’ve ever wrapped tape on.

Turns out the colour is a bit lighter and brighter than the frame, but oh well… my grubby hands will dull them soon enough.
