+1 on the marriage being effort. we can’t even arrange to go eat at the restaurant where we want to have our post-elopement ‘reception’

We were told that the bride and groom to be had everything organised for the wedding already. Everything booked, flowers arranged, dresses and suits already picked up, etc etc.
I understand having to book in advance for locations/photographers/celebrants, but having the flowers and dresses organised a year in advance is super crazy. Well, in my mind, anyway.
Eloping is certainly the way to go, methinks! At least that plus a post elopement party can’t be as hard, right?
