Train likes to find the only available spot between the pots on the balcony and sit in it.

Perhaps she thinks we wont notice her there and thus leave her outside all day?

pretty cunning. Perhaps it is an old habit left over from the days in the wild. A giant eagle would have a hard time swooping down and carying you off if you are surrounded by solid objects.
