and of course…

Me and a colleague sitting in the cockpit of the aircraft that delivered the Special Olympics flame. As you do.

I find it hard to believe that Train was ever that tiny or innocent looking, but here is proof.

That Jarod guy, looking all tired and cute.

Anzac Day show at the 2006 (?) Melbourne International Comedy Festival. Starring Daniel Kitson (Britian), David O’Doherty (Ireland) and Charlie Pickering (Aust.)

Taken at some ridiculous hour in the morning after a night of comedy in Melbourne.

Me, in 2006. On a balcony in Melbourne.

Some flowers. Taken in Hill End, I think.

A bar of soap shaped like a cow on a Brisbane windowsill.

During my first Comedy Festival, I collected the tickets of all the shows I saw in a vase in the apartment I was staying it. It was quite a collection. I think I’ve since thrown them all out, which is a shame.

During the LEGO days.

Daniel Moore sitting in a trolley in the middle of a street in Glebe. Of course.

More flowers.

Daniel Kitson and Demetri Martin hug.

Another mini Train.

The Blackboard.
Okay. Not so much a tale as a photo of each bike in it’s respective state.

That’s pretty much how Whitey will stay for the Highland Fling this weekend. Kinda not really especially looking forward to it. Which is to say that I’m nervous and wish it was over with already.
As for the Casseroll, damn I’m loving that bike. Knocked over a few kms on Sunday on it and you get out of it exactly what you put into it. Fun++
Well, they’re all up in the 2009 All Chrysler Day Photos Flickr Gallery now. Only 108 which either proves that I’m slipping, or it’s getting a bit ho hum year after taking photos there all these years.
Much to my father’s disappointment, most of the photos this year were taken with the camera skewed on funny angles. What’s even more alarming is the number that were post processed while thinking “oh my, that’s an artsy photo”. Alas, I guess that’s just the way things go sometimes.
Feel free to browse the whole set, or scroll down to see my favourites.

Liz made a Cake in a Mug. So I was took stacks of photos.
Ingredients:
- 3 tablespoons SR flour
- 3 tablespoons caster sugar
- 2 tablespoons cocoa
- 1 egg
- 3 tablespoons milk
- 3 tablespoons softened butter
- ¼ teaspoon vanilla essence
- 1 tablespoon choc chips (or more)
- 1 large mugMethod:
- Cream the butter and sugar with a fork.
- Add dry ingredients to the mug…mix well.
- Crack egg into mug. Mix well, scrape bottom to avoid any pockets of flour in the corners.
- Pour in the milk and vanilla essence. Mix some more.
- Add the choc-chips and stir a tiny bit. not too much or they all go to the bottom.
- Pop your mug into the microwave and cook for 2 minutes 30 seconds on high.
- Use mits when you get it out of the microwave. Tip into bowl already filled with ice cream.
It turned out to be nothing short of delicious, and we nommed the lot. Ok, now that all that formal stuff on how to make it is out of the way, lets have photos and crazy caption time!!
All the ingredients assembled.

Caster Sugar. Mmmmm, sweet!

The butter refused it leave its spoon. It was later prodded by a fork.

Creamed butter and sugar.

Cooooocooooooaaaa!

Self Raising Flour.

Stir stir stir.

1 egg. No egg shell.

More stiiiiiiiiiiirrrrrring.

Milk.

Yet more stirring.

Clean the outside edges for cleanliness sake.

Taste the batter to ensure deliciousness.

Add a precise quantity of choc bits.

Cook for two and a half minutes in your microwave on high.

Or until it rises and hits the ceiling of your microwave.

Use an oven mit. It’s friggen hot.

Icecream first.

Then the cake cake cake.

Thumbs up after a quick taste test.

Took my Salsa Casseroll out for a bit of a photoshoot. These were the results…

Whoa, Liz and I haven’t posted on here in ages. Why the lack of posts I hear you ask? We were Official Wedding Photographers for a weekend…. huzzah!!
As a result of this Liz and I:
More to the point, we’d have loved to have slept, but with the recent semi heatwave the east coast of Australia has been getting, that’s been made quite difficult. Last night, the mercury didn’t drop below 25 degrees (and that was outside… it seems we were hotter as our double brick rental is a mighty good insulator).
But enough whinging about the heat. Many photos were taken. Much fun was had by all. And a large number of steaks were eaten from the Hogs Breath Cafe. Winner’ish all round!
Now, enjoy a random selection of the wedding photos I uploaded to flickr. If you want to see the rest, check out anthonyandjess.com.

NaPoBloMo be damned! Same to you one hundred pushups! I’ve had something far more important to do over the last week. Namely, post process wedding photos and make a sexy website for em.

Liz stole my thunder yesterday by posting about them, but despite the cat already being out of the bag, it just wouldn’t be right if I didn’t do a post saying why I hadn’t posted in 7 days. Okay. That’s that done.

Can’t say I’ll be blogging heaps in the coming week or two either. Have got another two webdesign projects that are stealing my attention. Very very enjoyable work though.
I was mean today. Quite mean. I woke Liz up at 5:30am (on a Sunday) to go to a car show. Yeah I know. She’ll get dinner cooked for her for the rest of the week.

It was the All Chrysler Day. A show that I’ve been a part of for as long as I remember. For the last 6 or 7 years I’ve been taking photos to be displayed on the net and hopefully get them some promotion… and this year Liz tagged along with her 40D & Sneezy Jnr.

For varying reasons we were both fairly shattered and sleep deprived before we got out there, but we managed to hang around and shoot a few hundred photos til about 11am. After that… it was home time… nap time… then photos post processing time.

The photos interlaced are only a small selection of what are in the All Chrysler Day 2008 Set on Flickr.
As a part of Liz’s birthday festivities, we headed into the Metro to see Augie March last night. Being my first time seeing them live I didn’t know what to expect… suffice to say I was more than blown away.

That is a blatantly stolen photo from Liz’s 40D. I didn’t even kid myself about taking the D200 as it’s low light capabilities aren’t quite up to scratch.
Anyway, this is just a short note to say that the gig was awesome and I’m properly addicted to Augie. Tis sad that I was only introduced to them now, given that they might not be around much longer.
I’ll be badgering Liz to do a proper writeup of the said awesomeness. In the mean time check she’s got a whole bunch of photos in her flickr stream.
Um, I just deleted the photography database. That link aint taking you anywhere for awhile.
My bad.
