That’s what Liz and I were saying to each other when we loaded the DVD of photos Photobat sent to us. I mean, we’d seen some of the photos on his DSLR screen, but that really didn’t do the photos justice. Anyway, I’m waffling.

During my first Comedy Festival, I collected the tickets of all the shows I saw in a vase in the apartment I was staying it. It was quite a collection. I think I’ve since thrown them all out, which is a shame.

That’s pretty much how Whitey will stay for the Highland Fling this weekend. Kinda not really especially looking forward to it. Which is to say that I’m nervous and wish it was over with already.

As for the Casseroll, damn I’m loving that bike. Knocked over a few kms on Sunday on it and you get out of it exactly what you put into it. Fun++

Much to my father’s disappointment, most of the photos this year were taken with the camera skewed on funny angles. What’s even more alarming is the number that were post processed while thinking “oh my, that’s an artsy photo”. Alas, I guess that’s just the way things go sometimes.

Ingredients:

- 3 tablespoons SR flour
- 3 tablespoons caster sugar
- 2 tablespoons cocoa
- 1 egg
- 3 tablespoons milk
- 3 tablespoons softened butter
- ¼ teaspoon vanilla essence
- 1 tablespoon choc chips (or more)
- 1 large mug

Method:

- Cream the butter and sugar with a fork.
- Add dry ingredients to the mug…mix well.
- Crack egg into mug. Mix well, scrape bottom to avoid any pockets of flour in the corners.
- Pour in the milk and vanilla essence. Mix some more.
- Add the choc-chips and stir a tiny bit. not too much or they all go to the bottom.
- Pop your mug into the microwave and cook for 2 minutes 30 seconds on high.
- Use mits when you get it out of the microwave. Tip into bowl already filled with ice cream.

It turned out to be nothing short of delicious, and we nommed the lot. Ok, now that all that formal stuff on how to make it is out of the way, lets have photos and crazy caption time!!

Self Raising Flour.

Stir stir stir.

1 egg. No egg shell.

More stiiiiiiiiiiirrrrrring.

Milk.

Yet more stirring.

Clean the outside edges for cleanliness sake.

Taste the batter to ensure deliciousness.

Add a precise quantity of choc bits.

Cook for two and a half minutes in your microwave on high.

Or until it rises and hits the ceiling of your microwave.

Use an oven mit. It’s friggen hot.

Icecream first.

Then the cake cake cake.

Thumbs up after a quick taste test.

As a result of this Liz and I:

• Flew to Brisbane.
• Took stacks of photos (just short of two thousand).
• Flew home.
• Post processed photos.
• Made a website for the bride and groom.
• Slept.

More to the point, we’d have loved to have slept, but with the recent semi heatwave the east coast of Australia has been getting, that’s been made quite difficult. Last night, the mercury didn’t drop below 25 degrees (and that was outside… it seems we were hotter as our double brick rental is a mighty good insulator).

But enough whinging about the heat.  Many photos were taken. Much fun was had by all. And a large number of steaks were eaten from the Hogs Breath Cafe.  Winner’ish all round!

Liz stole my thunder yesterday by posting about them, but despite the cat already being out of the bag, it just wouldn’t be right if I didn’t do a post saying why I hadn’t posted in 7 days. Okay. That’s that done.

Can’t say I’ll be blogging heaps in the coming week or two either. Have got another two webdesign projects that are stealing my attention. Very very enjoyable work though.

It was the All Chrysler Day. A show that I’ve been a part of for as long as I remember. For the last 6 or 7 years I’ve been taking photos to be displayed on the net and hopefully get them some promotion… and this year Liz tagged along with her 40D & Sneezy Jnr.

For varying reasons we were both fairly shattered and sleep deprived before we got out there, but we managed to hang around and shoot a few hundred photos til about 11am. After that… it was home time… nap time… then photos post processing time.
